Gardening for Good: Week 12

Hi, everyone. Well, I'm late posting (the new dog is really throwing off my schedule!) but this is all as of Sunday, 14 April 2019:
Spring is really here now! It’s warmed up enough to clean out some of the garden beds, so I made some progress with that task this week. I cleared out the raised beds that are part of the updated raised bed area and finished filling/topping off with soil. Last fall I added some native perennials along one side of the beds. It’s great to see them coming back. I clearly see wild bergamot, New England aster, and columbine coming in. The seeds I started under the cold frame are still doing well. This week a couple borage popped up.
My indoor seedlings are off to a strong start. I’ll need to pot up some of them soon! See the photo below. I’ve added labels on what’s coming in so far.

Well, this was a short post, but it was a pretty straightforward week. The raised bed project took up much of my time. I am glad I was able to get it finished so I can move onto the other beds this coming week – along with starting the beekeeping journey and integrating our new rescue dog into the family!

Have a great week!
